My song

Dear tramps,

Today I want to talk you about a Bruce song, a very special one! I know everyone has their favourite song, but now I want to talk about mine. This is how I felt in love with that song and why it is that important for me.

It was my proof that music is what can save us, that music is what move us and what define what we are! Jon Landau said it a few years beofore me but on a night when I needed to feel young, he made me feel like I was hearing music for the very first time!

In my life there was a moment where I knew that I needed to do something with myself, I didn’t know what, but I was sure that I needed that thing. Then I went to a Springsteen concert and I was completely taken aback, I was in trance with a song! The one before Trapped and the one after Badlands!

In that moment I didn’t know what song it was but that song really touched me: Bruce’s voice, the guitar, the piano… It was a moment very surprising for me cause I had never felt that way before, it was like if I had finally arrived to that place which I wouldn't  never wanted to leave! I arrived home and I discovered that the name of the song. I just listened to it another time and I started to cry!
That song saved me and I will never forget that show where I fell in love with the song which I barely knew the name! I will never have enough words to thank Bruce for that! Now this song is probably my favourite and it will be at my side forever! It’s called Racing In The Street and now I just hope to hear it live and to sing it along with all the crowd! Cause summer is here and the time is right for racing in the street…

Here you have a beautiful introduction to the song in 1984:

"When we, when we first met.. we were going out riding all the time, and laughing all the time. Everything, everything we did was fun and funny and later on it seemed like the things that made her happy once just didn't make her happy no more. She started staying in a lot, not talking.. and she started to hide my keys on me so I couldn't go out at night, and it got hard to make her understand.. that when I took the car out and when I won.. that it was the only time that I felt good about myself. And that to have just one thing, one thing in your whole life that you do, that makes you feel proud of yourself.. I dont think that´s too much for anybody to ask, is it ?"-Bruce Springsteen

And here it is one of my favoirite performances of 1978

20 Feet From Stardom

Dear Tramps!!
I am finally back here on the net!!! Hope all of you are enjoying their vacation!!

What I want to talk about today is the film "20 Feet From Stardom". Some of you may have heard about it thanks to the deserved award it received some months ago in the 86th Grammy ceremony awards.
I have to say that I enjoyed a lot that film. It is a fantastic movie to enjoy music and to honore the real soul of some of the most important bands, the background singers. These women have live, power, strenght & soul in their voices!! Watching that film is a great oportunity to learn more about these amazing women with their amazing story behind.
The film looks back at the women story but it also shows interviews with great artists that needed those women. You can see Sting, Jagger and lf course our beloved Bruce and the beautiful Cindy Mizelle.

I strongly recommend that film to everybody who loves music, to everybody that want to discover new things about who was behind the top songs.
Each lady has struggled a lot to get a place in the music industry. They have worked really hard to reach the front row or to stay at 20 feet from stardom.

Hunter Of Invisible Game

Hi tramps!!!

A few days ago Bruce revealed the secret and we saw the Hunter Of Invisible Game short film. It was a 10 minute long film. The main character was played by Bruce, the hunter. I like so much to see Bruce doing some new different things. The landscapes with the sunset, the horses and that apocalypse atmosphere were great and i think that Bruce and Tom Thimmy did a great job with the sort film. You can see it here:

Hunter Of The Invisible Game

Dear Tramps,
Yesterday Bruce revealed us the mistery of the "coming soon" message! As you can read on his website it will be a short film by Tom Zimmy and himself of the Hunger Of The Invisible Game song!

The funny thing is that yesterday at 17:14 I posted that message on twitter: @MargaridaBruce: Dear @springsteen, do you think is now soon enough to show us that "coming soon" thing? #curious #bruce

And just 30 minutes later Springsteen revealed the thing!! @springsteen: Coming July 9: Hunter Of Invisible Game. A short film by Thom Zimny and Bruce Springsteen.

It's just coincidence but in some way I felt that Bruce answered my tweet!!

That's all friends!! See you further on up the road :)

MISS YOU C

Dear Tramps,
here we are in the net again!

Today marks 3 years since the BIG MAN passed away. It's 3 years since Clarence died. I think that everybody remember where they were when they heard or read the new. It was a very shoking new and it was very difficult to get over it!
In some way, Clarence was the soul of the E Street Band and when he left he took some of it with him. The Band hasn't been the same without him on stage but he has been remenbered night after night in the same powerful song. Everybody has sang the part of "the change was made uptown when the Big Man joined the band" with tears in their eyes and it's normal.
Clarence helped Bruce to tell a story bigger of the one that he could have told by himself. Everytime we see videos or shots of him our hearts are filled with a strong feeling that I hope never leaves.
Now that I'm writing that I have a little tear in my eye and I think that if have to speak with someone I will cry beacuse Clarence was big, Clarence created a strong feeling between him and his fans, Clarence was a part of us, Clarence shared his love with us and I will always be thankful for that.

"They say you can take it with you but I think that they are wrong 'cause all I know is that I  woke up this morning and something big was gone"

Today is a day to remember him with joy, is a day to be thankful for all he gave us and it's a day to feel proud of being members of the E STREET Nation.

Hope all of you are enjoying your day remembering him, some memories, the big sound of his saxophone....

And remember, till we meet again take care of yourselves :)

Here you have the speech Bruce gave in honor to Clarence. It's worth a reading:

FOR THE BIG MAN
I’ve been sitting here listening to everyone talk about Clarence and staring at that photo of the two of us right there. It’s a picture of Scooter and The Big Man, people who we were sometimes. As you can see in this particular photo, Clarence is admiring his muscles and I’m pretending to be nonchalant while leaning upon him. I leaned on Clarence a lot; I made a career out of it in some ways.
Those of us who shared Clarence’s life, shared with him his love and his confusion. Though “C” mellowed with age, he was always a wild and unpredictable ride. Today I see his sons Nicky, Chuck, Christopher and Jarod sitting here and I see in them the reflection of a lot of C’s qualities. I see his light, his darkness, his sweetness, his roughness, his gentleness, his anger, his brilliance, his handsomeness, and his goodness. But, as you boys know your pop was a not a day at the beach. “C” lived a life where he did what he wanted to do and he let the chips, human and otherwise, fall where they may. Like a lot of us your pop was capable of great magic and also of making quite an amazing mess. This was just the nature of your daddy and my beautiful friend. Clarence’s unconditional love, which was very real, came with a lot of conditions. Your pop was a major project and always a work in progress. “C” never approached anything linearly, life never proceeded in a straight line. He never went A… B…. C…. D. It was always A… J…. C…. Z… Q… I….! That was the way Clarence lived and made his way through the world. I know that can lead to a lot of confusion and hurt, but your father also carried a lot of love with him, and I know he loved each of you very very dearly.
It took a village to take care of Clarence Clemons. Tina, I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for taking care of my friend, for loving him. Victoria, you’ve been a loving, kind and caring wife to Clarence and you made a huge difference in his life at a time when the going was not always easy. To all of “C’s” vast support network, names too numerous to mention, you know who you are and we thank you. Your rewards await you at the pearly gates. My pal was a tough act but he brought things into your life that were unique and when he turned on that love light, it illuminated your world. I was lucky enough to stand in that light for almost 40 years, near Clarence’s heart, in the Temple of Soul.
So a little bit of history: from the early days when Clarence and I traveled together, we’d pull up to the evening’s lodgings and within minutes “C” would transform his room into a world of his own. Out came the colored scarves to be draped over the lamps, the scented candles, the incense, the patchouli oil, the herbs, the music, the day would be banished, entertainment would come and go, and Clarence the Shaman would reign and work his magic, night after night. Clarence’s ability to enjoy Clarence was incredible. By 69, he’d had a good run, because he’d already lived about 10 lives, 690 years in the life of an average man. Every night, in every place, the magic came flying out of C’s suitcase. As soon as success allowed, his dressing room would take on the same trappings as his hotel room until a visit there was like a trip to a sovereign nation that had just struck huge oil reserves. “C” always knew how to live. Long before Prince was out of his diapers, an air of raunchy mysticism ruled in the Big Man’s world. I’d wander in from my dressing room, which contained several fine couches and some athletic lockers, and wonder what I was doing wrong! Somewhere along the way all of this was christened the Temple of Soul; and “C” presided smilingly over its secrets, and its pleasures. Being allowed admittance to the Temple’s wonders was a lovely thing.
As a young child my son Sam became enchanted with the Big Man… no surprise. To a child Clarence was a towering fairy tale figure, out of some very exotic storybook. He was a dreadlocked giant, with great hands and a deep mellifluous voice sugared with kindness and regard. And… to Sammy, who was just a little white boy, he was deeply and mysteriously black. In Sammy’s eyes, “C” must have appeared as all of the African continent, shot through with American cool, rolled into one welcoming and loving figure. So… Sammy decided to pass on my work shirts and became fascinated by Clarence’s suits and his royal robes. He declined a seat in dad’s van and opted for “C’s” stretch limousine, sitting by his side on the slow cruise to the show. He decided dinner in front of the hometown locker just wouldn’t do, and he’d saunter up the hall and disappear into the Temple of Soul.
Of course, also enchanted was Sam’s dad, from the first time I saw my pal striding out of the shadows of a half empty bar in Asbury Park, a path opening up before him; here comes my brother, here comes my sax man, my inspiration, my partner, my lifelong friend. Standing next to Clarence was like standing next to the baddest ass on the planet. You were proud, you were strong, you were excited and laughing with what might happen, with what together, you might be able to do. You felt like no matter what the day or the night brought, nothing was going to touch you. Clarence could be fragile but he also emanated power and safety, and in some funny way we became each other’s protectors; I think perhaps I protected “C” from a world where it still wasn’t so easy to be big and black. Racism was ever present and over the years together, we saw it. Clarence’s celebrity and size did not make him immune. I think perhaps “C” protected me from a world where it wasn’t always so easy to be an insecure, weird and skinny white boy either. But, standing together we were badass, on any given night, on our turf, some of the baddest asses on the planet. We were united, we were strong, we were righteous, we were unmovable, we were funny, we were corny as hell and as serious as death itself. And we were coming to your town to shake you and to wake you up. Together, we told an older, richer story about the possibilities of friendship that transcended those I’d written in my songs and in my music. Clarence carried it in his heart. It was a story where the Scooter and the Big Man not only busted the city in half, but we kicked ass and remade the city, shaping it into the kind of place where our friendship would not be such an anomaly. And that… that’s what I’m gonna miss. The chance to renew that vow and double down on that story on a nightly basis, because that is something, that is the thing that we did together… the two of us. Clarence was big, and he made me feel, and think, and love, and dream big. How big was the Big Man? Too fucking big to die. And that’s just the facts. You can put it on his grave stone, you can tattoo it over your heart. Accept it… it’s the New World.
Clarence doesn’t leave the E Street Band when he dies. He leaves when we die.
So, I’ll miss my friend, his sax, the force of nature his sound was, his glory, his foolishness, his accomplishments, his face, his hands, his humor, his skin, his noise, his confusion, his power, his peace. But his love and his story, the story that he gave me, that he whispered in my ear, that he allowed me to tell… and that he gave to you… is gonna carry on. I’m no mystic, but the undertow, the mystery and power of Clarence and my friendship leads me to believe we must have stood together in other, older times, along other rivers, in other cities, in other fields, doing our modest version of god’s work… work that’s still unfinished. So I won’t say goodbye to my brother, I’ll simply say, see you in the next life, further on up the road, where we will once again pick up that work, and get it done.
Big Man, thank you for your kindness, your strength, your dedication, your work, your story. Thanks for the miracle… and for letting a little white boy slip through the side door of the Temple of Soul.
SO LADIES AND GENTLEMAN… ALWAYS LAST, BUT NEVER LEAST. LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE MASTER OF DISASTER, the BIG KAHUNA, the MAN WITH A PHD IN SAXUAL HEALING, the DUKE OF PADUCAH, the KING OF THE WORLD, LOOK OUT OBAMA! THE NEXT BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES EVEN THOUGH HE’S DEAD… YOU WISH YOU COULD BE LIKE HIM BUT YOU CAN’T! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE BIGGEST MAN YOU’VE EVER SEEN!… GIVE ME A C-L-A-R-E-N-C-E. WHAT’S THAT SPELL? CLARENCE! WHAT’S THAT SPELL? CLARENCE! WHAT’S THAT SPELL? CLARENCE! … amen.
I’m gonna leave you today with a quote from the Big Man himself, which he shared on the plane ride home from Buffalo, the last show of the last tour. As we celebrated in the front cabin congratulating one another and telling tales of the many epic shows, rocking nights and good times we’d shared, “C” sat quietly, taking it all in, then he raised his glass, smiled and said to all gathered, “This could be the start of something big.”

Love you, “C”.

Confessions of a Springsteen fan

Hey Tramps!!!

If you love Bruce but sometimes you don't know how to express your feelings for him or simply you don't know nobody you can talk to about it, I would recommend you the springsteenconfessions page.

It's a place where you can submit your own personal confession and let everybody read it! It may seem quite simple but it's nice to read what do people think about Bruce or which are their feelings for him :)

End of the Wrecking Ball/High Hopes Tour

Dear tramps,

It seems that the WB/HH tour has come to its end! On the May 17th and 18th, the ESB gave their last two shows on Mohegan!
The setlists have been amazing as always and a lot of jewels have been played in the USA shows!
Before the last tour show, Bruce made an interview with E Street Radio and said that he was going to take a large and needed break! I think he deserves it too!!

It's very sad to know that there aren't more dates planned in a long time and it will be very hard to live without shows but we have to start saving up for the next tour!!!

So that's all friends, that's the end of a fantastic tour with a lot of great memories. The meeting of new Bruce fans, the first ESB tour without Clarence, the induction of the ESB in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, the performances of full albums, those nights where he played that song, or just the night you were at the show and you felt you finally belonged somewhere!
I know he will go on tour again soon and that we all will be there waiting for him but till we meet again...
STAY HARD, STAY HUNGRY, STAY ALIVE and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES!!

ATLANTA

Dear Bruce fans,
yesterday Bruce and the E Street Band played in Atlanta, Georgia!! Unfortunately I wasnt there but looking at the set list and by the comments of fans who were there, I know it had to be a fantastic show!!
Bruce said at the begining of the show that he was in "a The River kind of mood" and it was true becouse he played a lot of songs of that double album (Jackson Cage, The Ties That Bind, Independence Day, Cadillac Ranch, Ramrod, Drive All Night and Point Blank).

In addition to these jews, bruce played a lot of songs form his last two albums and he played Tougher Than The Rest!!

The only missing thing for me was Thunder Road!! He did not play that song in the encore neither at the end of the show!!
To finish the night the band played again highway To Hell!!

I love almost all the songs that were played last night so now I'm gonna wait a few days and I will download the show!!

Take care of your selves :)

New Test

Hi again Tramps,

yesterday I developed another tests for you!! It's about Bruce lyrics, albums, songs... Hope you enjoy it!! Click here to do it

DEVIL'S & DUST

Dear Tramps,
sorry I haven't uploaded the blog in some days but I have been very bussy!!!! Hopefully I'm back on the net again!!!
Yesterday was the 9th birthday of the Devils and Dust album. That was a long time ago and nowadays this album is still very actual!
The song that gives the tittle to the album is amazing (as most of you know), those lyrics are stunning and the guitar moves the song to a higher level!!
Long Time Comin' is one of may favoutire of the album too!! It's a beautiful song and bruce should play it more often!!!!
But the song with the most dirty lyrics of the album is Reno!!! It's a funny song that always make me think about what did inspire Bruce to wrote it....

Do not doubt it and listen to that album now you will get on a fantastic trip through Bruce's music :)

ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION

Ladies and gentlemen, yesterday the E Street Band was inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame!!
Some days ago I developed a test about their induction. If you want you can do it here: R&HOF

Bruce was the person who inducted them and he gave a very wonderful speech. He talked about how the E Street Band was formed, who came first…
Danny and Clarence where both inducted but unfortunately they couldn’t be there. Bruce made an special mention to them and remembered the day he and Clarence met for the first time (the blowin’ door story).

They played Kitty’s Back, The River (as one favorite of Clarence) and The E Street Shuffle.
It was a very emotional night and each band member was with his family there.

Adele was there too! (pic @mpslater)

Willie Nile

Dear Tramps,
here I am on the road again but not to talk you about Bruce! Well, the person who I wanna talk you is a Bruce friend. Is a singer and songwritter from New York and stage partner with Bruce.
That musician is Willie Nile!!!!

Last weekend he came to Catalonia with his tour American Ride. Unfortunately I couldn't go to the show but a very good friend went. Before the gig I asked him to record the songs that I loved the most: Sunrise in New York City and One Guitar!!
I knew he would made very good videos because he has a lot of experience recording some songs in Bruce shows. But my surprise was that he told me that he had redorded the full show!!!!!!

Here I'm attatching the likns to the videos he made!! Watching them I've realised that it had to be a special show and a special night!! Willie was full of energy and joking about Bruce's crowdsurfings, he said some words in spanish and everybody had fun there!!
As I've told you, one of my favourites songs by Willie is One Guitar, the video is awesome and the song presentaion that Willie did is very beautiful.

See the videos which my friend has posted, they are really good and I'm sure you will enjoy them :)

Do not doubt and follow him on twitter: @vfeneboss and subscribe to his youtube page, completely worth it for a music lover!

So I wanna thank you Vic for all the videos!!

Here you have the some of the links of the songs of the show!!!

BRUCE, WHAT ELSE CAN WE SAY?

Dear Tramps,
Here I'm on the net again!
I'm not going to post any new news because I'm sure you know them all and if not you can check the fantastic pages list I have updated at the right of the page!!

I want to talk to you about BRUCE, that 64 year old, crazy Jersey boy that has stolen our heart and soul!
That's that kind of night which I realize how lucky I am to have him in my life, have the chance to listen to his music and to attend to those incredible shows.
Since I discovered his music, my life has changed completely. Now I see the reality with other eyes and I think that I’m not the only lonely girl that has those feelings. Through Bruce’s music I have discovered a little more about myself and I have learned a lot about what really matters in my life!

By listening Bruce I have meet a lot of funny and nice characters like Bobby, Terry, Sandy, Rosie, Mari, Wendy, Sherry… thaey are all fantastic but I have meet a lot of fans that are also very kind! So, I wanna thank you all for reading me, for follow me and for make me feel like one TRAMP more.

Here I’m linking some videos of Paris 2013-I was there- (thanks to @vfeneboss for letting me post them)

Thank you again and remember:

THE WILD

Dear Tramps,
today Bruce has played on Brisbane, Australia! In my opinion that show has been the most amazing in so many time. Despite he has played the "THE WILD, THE INNOCENT & THE E STREET SHUFFLE" album, the rest of the show has been absolutely amazing.
Songs like Save My Love, Sherry Darling or Fade away had appeard on the setlist. But it's not all, he strted the show with Staying Alive (Bee Gees) followed by Saint In The City, Does this bus stop at 82nd street?, Growin' Up and Spirit In The Night!!
As you can see, the show has had some memorable songs but can you imagine hearing Sandy, Incident, Rosie and New York City Serenade in the same show?¿
That's CRAZY, that's BRUCE, that's THE E STREET BAND  and the reason why we love them!!
For sure this show will be known as one of his best!!!!!!

ENJOY YOUR DAY AND HAVE A LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING VIDEOS! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!

High Hopes, Jimmy Fallon and US tour dates!

Hello dear Tramps,

First of all I wanna wish you a very happy 2014 full of Bruce and music.

Finally it's January 14th and the HIGH HOPES album is now available in all music stores. The CD deluxe edition goes with a DVD of the Hyde Park 2013 show. It includes the part of the gig where Bruce plays the full Born In The U.S.A album!!!

Personally, I think that the album is a very great one because there are many songs very touching and new melodies or instruments that we may not listened before but that they are great and I understand what Bruce saiy when he say that they shoud have been published.

Without listened to it properly, I can say to you that my favourites are:
THIS IS YOUR SWORD
FRANKIE FELL IN LOVE
THE WALL

Today Bruce is going to appear in the Jimmy Fallon Late Night show so we will see what he is going to do!!

And for the hotel bookin', plane takin', train ridin'... all I have to say is that Bruce has just announced that he is going to play in New Orleans on the 3rd May on 2013  so let's start saving up!!!!!
